How to keep in touch with your readers

Nothing pleases us more than to know that somebody is reading our articles. It’s a little bit the purpose of a blog, right ? “Silent” reader or reader-commentator, we appreciate your interest for us a lot.

For those who follow our blog by e-mail, a notification is sent to you at the time of the publication of the article, or rather, a notification SHOULD be sent to you… Indeed, since a few weeks, several of you let us know that they were not any more informed about the publication of our articles. Horror ! What a pity !

Thanks to Phiphi, Frimousse, Cody, Katie and Waffles, and those who we certainly forget, to have indicated us this dysfunction : we looked, verified, asked, and still looked to find the cause of this bug. And we found : it would seem that e-mails sent by WordPress via the module Jetpack are often blocked by antispam filters of various e-mail providers: either you don’t even see them, or they land directly in your Spam file.

We are thus going to try MailChimp for this service ; we hope that everything will be back to normal again. If everything goes well, you should not need to subscribe again to our blog, then cross your paws so that it works !

Yes, for the moment it’s normal : one blogpost is in reality four blogposts for WordPress because of the translations. WordPress sends one mail for each post, that’s the reason why you receive four mails. We’re trying to fix it with MailChimp too 😉 ! Purrs

I hope MailChimp works much better for you! I use Feedburner for my emails, but have a MailChimp account as a backup in case Feedburner ever goes away.

Thank you for this posting! I’ve also heard that the email notification don’t work. It’s strange though, because I’ve subscribed to my blog, and I always get an email. Hm. I’ll have a closer look

We also enjoy your blog and try as much as possible to comment but sometimes we have lots of blogs and find we’re pulling out our fur trying to get to everyone.

I use MailChimp and love it! It’s a bit confusing at first, as they don’t make it super easy to navigate at times. Good luck kitties 🙂

We have our paws crossed that all falls into place now and the problem is solved! 🙂
