We take advantage of last soft and sunny days up before the arrival of the first colds, but don’t be fooled : in a little more than a month, it’s Christmas !
Your humans are often completely put under stress by this period of the year, then here is 15 advice to be passed on to them so that your naps can continue to be done peacefully. Are you ready ?
One month before :
- Verify that you have some gift wrap, ribbon, and adhesive tape.
- Establish a list of the people to whom you want to send your wishes.
- Decide who will receive an e-mail, and who will receive a traditional card.
- Establish a list of gifts.
- Review the decorations which you already have and decide in which place to put them.
- Make a list of the lacking decorations and which it will be necessary to buy.
- Inquire about the shipping deadlines for letters and packages, especially if you send abroad.
- Prepare your greeting cards, stamps, and packages to send.
- If you receive for Christmas, establish the list of the guests and choose the menu.
- Buy little by little ingredients for your biscuits and your meals.
- Choose your table decoration, the tablecloth, the dishes, and make the list of what misses you.
- Decorate your house and enter the atmosphere of Christmas !
One week before :
- End the purchases of the last presents.
- If you use a natural Christmas tree, it’s time to buy it and to decorate it.
- Don’t forget the cat treats !
Do you have other tips to arrive quietly at Christmas ?
Chrissymouse Cards 2015 – last recall
For the members of the Cat Blogosphere who are not on Facebook, if you would like to be on the holiday cat blogging card exchange list, you can send us an email to swissneko AT gmail DOT com with the name of your blog, name of the human, address, country and email, and you’ll be added to the list. Don’t forget to tell us if you would like to do email, snail mail, or both. Deadline : November 30th.
As long as my human remembers the cat treats, it’s all good by me! She only needs to shop for her boyfriend, and that is almost done already.
We’re not sure what Christmas is. The humans think that we got abandoned at Christmas time as we were found in January in a forest. Mom is so upset about what happened to us. She said the best Christmas gift is that she knows that we’re safe this year.
Lots of good advice 🙂
WE like to keep things low key, so as long as we have lots of treats we’ll be happy 🙂

What good advice! Does this mean you’re organized about the holiday. The head peep has done absolutely nothing for it besides getting holiday cards for us. At least her priorities are straight.
Just looking at you relaxing in the grass makes us relaxed already. M says one of the joys of being old is that she doesn’t shop much anymore. Her daughter and husband get money or whatever they want is ordered on the internet. It’s so much easier, although when she was younger, she enjoyed all the craziness at Christmas. Thank you for doing the Christmas card exchange. It’s a big job, I’m sure.
You’re welcome ! Purrs
Excellent advice- especially to not forget the treats 🙂

That is a good list to stop the humans getting stressed. Cat treats is the most important.
Great tips! Christmas is our favorite time of year and it’s so important to enjoy every single moment and try to remain as stress free as possible.
I’m stressed because TW hasn’t designed my Christmas cards yet! GASP!
Oops ! It’s time to make her hurry up ! Purrs
Christmas can be so much work but you have a nice list to simplify things. Luckily, ours is very low-key so we don’t stress much about it. If something doesn’t get done, Christmas will come again next year and we cat try again! 🙂
Great advice. I would just add: put weights on top of the legs of the Christmas tree stand to make it harder for the cats to knock over.
Great idea ! To be true, Claire doesn’t care about it : it’s an artificial tree with unbreakable plastic or textile ornaments that has absolutely NO interest for us. Purrs
“Don’t forget the cat treats!” Wise advice indeed.

You should : you’re going to miss the leftovers of the Thanksgiving’s turkey ! Purrs

Those are some very good tips! Our Mama leaves everything to the last minute but it does all come together in the end. We love Christmas 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo
That is a list to remember, Zorro and Pixie. We have two birthdays of my twofeet brothers one week before and a few days after Christmas, so we have to include that into the list too….phew! You two look quite relaxed and beautiful, that’s a good example for all of us 😉 Relaxed Pawkisses 🙂 <3
