Two weeks ago, Zorro gave me a hunting lesson. It’s not the first one. That always takes place as it :
- He hunts a bird.
- He goes upstairs to look for me with his prey. If Claire is there, he’s very proud to show it to her, and she’s very happy to congratulate him.
- Claire makes Zorro come downstairs so that he rereleases with the bird and gives me my lesson outside.
- Claire makes me go downstairs.
- Zorro goes back upstairs.
- I go back upstairs.
- Claire makes us both come downstairs and goes out with us so that we dont’t go back upstairs.
The lesson can begin :
- Zorro gives me the bird and takes place in approximately 2 metres. I transport the bird, I throw it in the air, I release it, I catch it up, I roll on it, and that starts again. I still haven’t understood very well what he wants me to do, but it’s fun to be neat ! Zorro watches very attentively my activities. If the bird seems to escape me, he intervenes.
After 20 minutes, Zorro finishes my study object with one chew off, and he eats it. End of the lesson.
Poor birdie 🙁 *whispers: I hope it was tasty ;)* Pawkisses for a lovely Monday 🙂
Poor birdie indeed. When I (Frimousse) catch a bird, I break its neck at once, I crack its bones, and swallow the whole of poor creature – feathers included. It is at the bottom of my stomac ready for digestion within 30 seconds. I can’t stand birds suffering…
With Zorro to teach you,
you will become a mighty hunter too Pixie 🙂

Awww, poor little birdie. Probably would be better if you all didn’t hunt for the birds. Pixie, maybe you could find something else to hunt. You all have a great week.
You are a good hunter- poor birdie though.
Mum is scared we’ll bring her a birdie home for her as she hates the feel of feathers.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
It looks like you’re going to learn to be a really great hunter with Zorro giving you lessons like that.
I wonder if you will ever learn to do it right
Pixie, it sounds like you are a very good student!
dood….zorro….seriously; if you have to teach pixie to hunt…please teach her to look for mice…knot BURD !!!

You are learning fast Pixie. I rarely catch birds, I prefer mice. Eric was the bird hunter here.
Zorro is a good teacher…we’re sure you’ll be hunting just like him, Pixie.

XOXO
Misty May is our bird stalker and has been catching too many lately. She brought one to the catio, which Lisbeth immediately brought in the house and gave mom a good chase up and down the stairs like you two. Then Misty May or one of the others brought a birdy through the cat flap on the second floor. Dad found Calista with that one. Misty May caught another one yesterday but stayed in the yard with it. Mom says, “Thank COD.” Please don’t catch too many birdies, Zorro. They are more fun to watch. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo with a nose kiss for Zorro.
Wow! You guys are vicious hunters. We’ve never caught any birds before – probably because we don’t go outside.
We hope all the birdie’s relatives learned a lesson…stay away from you two mighty hunters!! :p
