Heat wave

It was hot, very hot all week long, and it’s not ended. Here’s the temperature shown by Claire’s car yesterday evening at 7 pm.

Such a heat wave is unusual here. We put into practice every day the advice we gave you to avoid a heatstroke, and all ways are good to cool down. Our humans do like us : they take advantage of the relative morning or evening freshness, and stay as far as possible cool during day, without forgetting to hydrate regularly.

If you also undergo a heat wave like us, stay cool and take care of you ; are all eyes with kittens, sick cats, or old cats, who are more sensitive.

Oh how fun! You guys have your own swimming pool 🙂 Our Summer has been unusually mild, but it’s still hot. We are used to 100 degree (F) temperatures around here. I don’t think it’s been that hot yet.

Weather is unusual EVERYWHERE! Stay cool……drink lots of water……and lie in the cool grass!!!!

It has been crazy hot here too with temperatures in the nineties. We are staying in the shade and not going out so much.

We live in the Midwest of the U.S. Wisconsin in fact. When our ancestors came to the U.S. From Switzerland, they settle in Wisconsin because it was close to switzerlandS weather and landscape . It is unusual for us to get that hot too, but it can happen. M keeps me in the house when it is that hot. Stay cool pals and drink lots of water.

Yikes! It really is hot over there. I hope you are all staying cool. Be sure to drink plenty of water and take plenty of naps. We haven’t had a heat wave yet where I live. It is only 72*F (which is about 23*C) as I write this. Our weather is known for being cold.

We love seeking kitties lying in the grass. Since we are indoor cats we can at least enjoy grass that way vicariously. It has not been that hot here in Connecticut but the heat is on the way! Viel Spass this weekend, liebe Katzen…

Sensible advice – please keep a constant watch on your pets in warm weather. C40/F104 is too warm for many cats and will cause them distress!

We had a heat wave here too (same temperatures as you) but I stay indoors with the air conditioner on so there’s no risk that I will overheat. Unfortunately, a lot of animals stay outside and it’s really important for them to have access to shade and plenty of water.
