I spend my days in the garden. And I can tell you that it’s hard work.

I go hunting.
I watch. To the left …
And to the right.
It is necessary to be attentive. Watchful. Always on the watch. For hours.
But sometimes, it’s exhausting.

I go hunting in my human’s bathroom all the time! But she says I am a lousy hunter because every time I find a mouse (it has happened THREE times!), she has to help me catch it – and then she takes it away somewhere, so I don’t even get to enjoy it.
For a few weeks, I have thought I am too old for that kind of life.
Therefore… I sleep.
I so agree with you Zorro… after sucvh a lazy day in the garden Iam always dogtired in the evening :o)

It’s hard work, but somekitty’s gotta do it!!
Yup, gardenin’ is hard work, for sure. It might look like we’re nappin’ or somethin’ out there but really, WE’RE HARD AT WORK keepin’ the local wild life (like mice and moles and voles) at bay and stuff like that. And sometimes, we’re countin’ blades of grass. More hard work, for sure. MOUSES!
Zorro, being the ‘watch-cat’ should never be underestimated! It’s a tough job, so some good catnaps in when surveillance is a obligatory And you look handsome while doing it.
It is not easy being a guard cat. Naps are often necessary to recharge. It’s understandable.
