A week in the sun

This post is also available in : French German Italian

The weather has been beautiful all week, and the temperatures were very mild, too mild for the season.

So we spent a lot of time in the garden, and Claire and Momo were able to take a beautiful stroll along the lake

Unfortunately, these weather conditions are extremely dangerous in the mountains ; an avalanche descended on a marked track and killed one person a few days ago in Crans-Montana. Our thoughts go out to the victim’s family, a patroller, and to the people who work on trail safety. If you like skiing and mountain, be careful in the Alps !

We are in the middle of a ‘bomb cyclone’, which is heavy gusts of wind as warmer temps are being pushed out by arctic air. Then, colder than average temps for awhile. I hope we see Spring soon.

stay safe in the mountains, the avalanche is frightening!
The weather has been good here also for the last week, unseasonably warm and very sunny.
The photos of the lake are beautiful, and so are those of both of you. Who is the dog spying through the railings?

Nice to see happy cats in the sunshine! Spring is avalanche season, and it is very scary! I grew up at the foothills of the Wasatch range and avalanches were unfortunately a fact of life.

It’s nice to have some sunny weather. That doggy looks like he might be able to squeeze through the fence. Very sad about the avalanche killing someone.

You two cuties look lovely in the sun! We too have had sunny weather here in Vancouver and we have the same problems with avalanches as you do, because of it 🙁 Nature can be unpredictable!

We hope all of you are well. XO
