Weird, weird

This post is also available in : French German Italian

Life has become very strange around here : Momo no longer goes to work and stays at home, and Claire only goes there every other day (or every three days).

She discovers the thrills of telework…

S…t ! The XY file has remained in the office !

…and the joys of video conferencing.

Georges, are you there ? – Yes, …ut my …on…tion is not ve… …ood. – Uh ? What ? What are you saying ? Georges ? Georges ?… We lost Georges !

Claire monopolizes the computer, even the computer and the iPad at the same time. I try to help her by walking on the keyboard, but she tells me that she’s working and that I have to take a walk elsewhere. How ungrateful ! She’s working, you speak ! It’s been ten days that there is no new post on our blog !

We have the chance to live in the country : to take a break from ideas and get some fresh air, our humans can easily go for a walk without meeting more than three or four people.

As for us, we enjoy the garden, and the weather that was beautiful until yesterday.

And at your home, how is it going ? How do your humans live this house arrest ?

You are right. Things are very weird now. I have been taking an online German class for many months using a conferencing program called Zoom. Yesterday my bandwith was too low to get a good video. That is probably because everyone is using the internet now for video chat which is slowing the internet down.

These are lovely photos of you, Pixie.
It is good that Clare and Momo can walk without meeting many other people. We are taking walks around the fields which is easier now the continual rain has stopped, and the strong winds are drying out the ground.

It’s such a stressful time for everyone. My job in the news media is considered essential so I’m still able to go into the office. Sure hope the world returns to normal soon though.

Things most certainly have changed, Pixie. Our mom and dad are working from home, too. They look forward to daily walks after they finish up. We get lots of extra pets and scritches, so it’s not all bad.

Stay safe, and be healthy, okay?

Petcretary has to go to her work, three afternoons a week…she is what is called an essential worker, so she has a letter in her car that says where she works and what she does there…she works in a nursing home and the peeps there still need all their regular care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week…

So on her days off, she decides if we need any food…and most things are available, but there are still lots of empty shelves. However we mostly do not need/sue what is all gone, MOL!!! We are all set for kitty noms and doggy food, too.

And we too can go for long countryside walks, though we are not that rural…today there were about 8-10 peeps she saw while we pups got walked.

Yup, strange indeed, but we’ll get through this eventually!

Pixie, you sure are a pretty kitty on that tree!!

Pixie, you keep walking on those keyboards, to keep Clair grounded! She may be working, but her very first priority is to CATS! She knows that, but obviously has forgotten…

My Mom and Dad are retired so used to being home most of the time…..they still take drives out in the country or to a park to take a walk and never see anybody else. They like things QUIET so this is “the usual” for them. I have enjoyed extra OUTSIDE time since they want to get out of the house more than before though so that is a GOOD thing!!! You look like you’re having fun climbing that tree Pixie!

    Hugs, Teddy

Sound like life in your house is similar to ours. People home all the time, lots of desk work and some phone calls. I stay inside, but the people can go out for essentials and can walk in the neighborhood without running into people. There are so few drivers that people can walk in the road to avoid each other. Dad is a bit annoyed at not being able to eat out as easily. But all in all, we are very lucky to be healthy and not too inconvenienced by all the virus safety measures.

What beautiful photos! That’s nice that your humans can take a walk without seeing many people. When we walk, we cross the street when we see someone coming. It might’ve been considered rude before, now it’s considered smart!
