A soft cocoon for winter

This post is also available in : French German Italian

In two months, work has progressed well : our house is plump, wrapped in 18 to 20 centimeters of insulation fixed by more than 1000 special plugs.

For now, it’s grey, it’s the color of the layer that will then be hidden under the plaster. There are still a few things to do : do the plaster, fix the balcony and stair railings, install the exterior lighting, install the photovoltaic panels, and install the shutters. We will also have to put the fence of our enclosure back in its place.

Fortunately, we can enjoy the garden thanks to our tunnel ; we are hopeful that everything will be finished at the end of November, we cross our paws !

All that work on the house will certainly make it more cozy in bad weather AND is going to be beautiful too! I know you’ll be happy to get your whole yard back but in the meantime – at least you CAN get outside and enjoy things like that log!!! HAHAHA

    Hugs, Teddy

OUTSTANDING! TBT had all our walls and ceilings filled with “stuff that does not change temperature”, and ever since, the place never changes temperature much! That’s great.

The bad part is that the floor blowers seldom provide the warm air we liked a lot. But that’s OK; we still have the heated waterbed. And his lap.

Sorry we haven’t visited in too long! LOVE those calico beauties and mama loves them a bit TOO much if you ask me, the tuxie, haha. Your house is marvelous and the drain pipes so classy! Wish we had installed those here, but in our little village there are some ceramic ones with faces at the end where the water runs out. Happy holidays to you all and a happy house. Wish mama could send a fresh focaccia to make the perfume of love in your dwelling. Or sage to burn the baddies out but she is sure there are NONE in that magical place.
