Who is the most beautiful ?
Our domesticated woman went on Saturday to a cat show near our home. Indeed, she has a friend who hasa breeding, and it was the opportunity to meet her with her cats.
We have never visited a show, then Claire told us a little : all the cat breeds are represented, and cats get beauty cares quite specially : they are often bathed the day before (horror!), get their fur done and re-done … It is practical if you do not know well the characteristics of every breed, you can see them closely and compare. Of course, cats are not alone, their domesticated people are there; they have drinks by snacking to spend time.
From time to time, some cats are taken out of their cage to be presented to a judge. That, that worried us : of what are they accused ? Are they guilty ? Claire reassured us : every breed has an endless list of criteria, and the judge looks if the cat has them all to give it the medal of the most beautiful cat of its category. We died laughing : what a funny idea ! Do humans still ignore that all the cats are perfect, because they are cats ? Furthermore, every cat is the most beautiful of the world for its domesticated one, no need of a judge to confirm it !
Finally, we are very satisfied to be noble bastards : spend all day in a small cage in little convenient surroundings to a good nap because a million people passes in front of, and to be rooted about by an unknown judge, it is not very exciting… We prefer by far to take advantage of the sun and to show our belly to whom we want without being judged !
Have you already heard about claws caps ?
Our opinion about declawing did not change at all (nor that of Claire moreover), but we discovered a much less cruel alternative for the owners who want false cats of which claws do not damage the furniture or the carpets.

We have a friend, Allie of the blog A Tonk’s Tail, who has absolutely incredible pink claws ! We have never seen it previously, and even if she is a nail tech, Claire was not able to tell us what it was. Then we looked, and we found here, or still there.
It is synthetic capsules which are sticked directly on claws ; they are not toxic of course, and the cat can still retract its claws if it wears it. Allie wears pink, but these capsules exist in several colors.
These capsules remain reserved for inside cats because they deprive us all the same of one of our ways of defense and prehension. But even if none of us would wear a similar thing, it is necessary to admit that has at least the merit not to be permanent and irreversible, and especially that it is not cruel.
