Nose-to-Nose Awards 2016
The Nose-to-Nose Awards 48 finalists were announced on Tuesday, and we are very happy to see that some of our favourite blogs appear in the list. Concatulations and good luck for the continuation !
Fair zu Pfoten Award
We are not finalist for Nose-to-Nose Awards, but we are proud and happy to have received the Fair zu Pfoten Award on behalf of the Hermit. He asked us three questions :
- What animals do live at your home, or of what animals do you take care ?
We are two cats, and we live with two humans. Claire always lived with cats. - How did you receive animals, or where do they come from ?
We adopted our humans while we were still kittens (Zorro at the beginning of 2013, and Pixie at the middle 2014). We met them thanks to common acquaintances. - Are you vegan or vegetarian ?
Oh no, that would make us feel sick ! We are cats after all… But we appreciate some fresh grass from time to time.

Keep your pet safe
The nice people from Wayfair realized the infographic below which presents several tips to improve the safety of cats (and dogs) at home, outside, or on travel. We chose to share it with you because we like it :
Have a good week !
Safety is a real problem. Modern life is not for cats – nor for badgers, squirrels, rabbits, etc.
…
“Plenty of reasons to be vegans,” my Master says. “One of them is compassion for animals bred for human food. But our cats provide us several times a day with a question: where does their food come from?”
I love your blog a lot! I can only imagine that the main reason you aren’t a finalist in the Nose-to-Nose awards is that we don’t see enough of you!
Thank you so much ! Purrs
Congratulations on your Fair Zu Pfoten award…..just know that while awards are wonderful and mean a lot to many, the important thing is to have a worthwhile, fun, informative blog and you HAVE THAT! We love your blog and you………..we’ll never be in the “big time” with an award either but hopefully we entertain and that’s what we wanted to do when Mom and I started blogging.
Hugs, Sammy
Thank you Sammy ! You’re right, the most important is to have fun and give your best for writing the blog you want ! Purrs
Congratulations on your Fair zu Photen Award, Zorro and Pixie. I guess that is a huge honour for everything you do 🙂 Pawkisses for a Blessed Whit Monday 🙂 <3
<Concats to your award! I agree with you, I like meat…but I eat grass from time to time too and then… well you know :o)
Good post!
Mum is a vegan, but of course I’m not!

Yes, the finalists for the nose-to-nose awards should all be congratulated for getting so far in the competition.
To be a vegan.vegatarian or eat meat? That is a serious question. Unfortunately mom is still hung up about meat and does eat a little. Kali and I need meat to live so there is no question about it, we will continue to eat meat.

Congrats on the award and your answers 😉
We also like the info on protecting your cat.
We’ll make sure mum reads it 😉
Purrs Georgia and Julie,
Treasure and JJ
We like nomming on grass too. We don’t get to do it nearly enough!
Congratulations of the nice award and we enjoyed the answers too!

The Florida Furkids
Congrats on the award you received. I nominated you for photography, I think you deserve a nose to nose.
There were a lot of great blogs nominated as finalist, but there are a lot more that are great, such as yours!
Our kitties love cat grass and lemongrass too – they even talked me into planting a herb garden just for them.
My cats are lucky, they can go in and out through the catflap. Of course they also eat grass and return home to vomit on the best rag !
We only nom on grass if we want to throw up a hairball!
Congrats on your award! And these are great safety tips you’ve posted. Thank you for sharing!
We wholeheartedly agree! Cats are not vegans. But we do enjoy some veggies in our food from time to time.
ConCats on your award. We never get nominated fur da nose to noses either. It’s mostly da same ole peeps we noticed.

This was a great infographic with lots of good information. Thanks for sharing it with us. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo (with a kiss for Zorro)
We highly approve that you recognize your human is a pet animal that you take care of. Too many cats are a bit careless about this language.
Congrats on the award! This is a very useful infographic – I didn’t know toads are toxic to cats. Always learning new things about our feline friends 🙂
Even if you aren’t finalists for the Nose-to-Nose awards, we think your blog is great.
Thanks for sharing that safety graphic. Safety is one of the reasons we are indoor-only cats.
Congratulations! Woo Hoo! We think pet safety is very, very important too and this is a great infographic!
Congratulations on your award, sweet pals! We enjoyed your answers, and learning more about you. 🙂
Hi Pixie, you really are an excellent watch cat. Zorro you must be the muscle to prevent those who are jealous of your wonderful space from approaching the fence with your piercing eyes.
Purrs you two
Oh yes, congratulations on being a finalist in the nose to nose blog contest. We will be voting. I hope they let each of us vote but I think not MOL
