The Cat Writers’ Association, Inc. (CWA) is an international journalism organization founded in 1992 to promote the interests of cats; to provide a medium for exchange of ideas, methods and professional courtesies; and to promote a high standard of ethics in the collection, creation, and dissemination of cat information. CWA is a dynamic professional group of passionate cat advocates composed of writers, bloggers, photographers, artists, and broadcasters. The Association promotes mentorship for new writers, provides writing/publishing educational opportunities, and seeks to improve the quality of cat information by recognizing and rewarding outstanding published work in its annual contest.

Standards are high : there are three judges for each category, and winning a certificate means that judges assign an average score of 90 or more to the work presented.
We regularly share our daily lives with you in short articles, but we also work hard to publish some “serious” educational articles every year ; our native language is French, and we translate ourselves our writings.
So we were particularly pleased and proud to announce you two weeks ago that the Cat Writers’ Association had awarded us a Certificate of Excellence for our article about pain in cat (English version), but we had not yet received it : it’s finally arrived on Wednesday in our mailbox !
We would like to be able to participate in the CWA’s annual conference, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, but this is unfortunately not possible. Fortunately, we’ll be able to follow the reports of our CWA member friends on social networks.
Congratulations to all the Certificate winners !
