For several days now, we’ve been facing an unprecedented situation in almost all European countries : it’s cool for the season, it rains downpours, and sometimes very violent local storms accentuate the damage already caused by the rain. Germany and Belgium were particularly affected.
Floods, landslides, we’re not yet at the stage of other countries that suffer hurricanes several times a year, but it’s impressive.
Today we’re enjoying the return of the sun and the heat, but the situation of lakes and rivers remains critical: we hope that the decline will happen quickly, and hope that those most affected by these disasters will receive the help they need.

Yikes…that’s a lot of water. Stay safe!!

We have seen the devastation in Europe and send lots of purrs and hope the rains stop.
It is good to hear things are good where you are <3
Zorro, you are looking mighty good!!!
Purrs, Julie
We have seen the terrible flood disasters and so many deaths on TV. I hope the rains stop and people get help to recover.
Oh my, that’s awful, really awful. We’re sure glad you all are okay and we’re sending prayer to all of those affected by the flooding.
It’s terrifying!
Wishing all those who are impacted are getting the assistance they need.
That is so scary. Please stay safe, dear friends. We’re purring and praying for you, and everyone affected by the flooding.
This is all very worrisome. Even beyond the immediate tragedies that are happening.
it was horrible… and the worst was, that some bad people use this disaster to enter abandoned homes and stores… that’s such a shame!
We’ve seen the horrible and devastating floods and have been praying there would be some relief in sight and no more disasters and loss of life. So VERY sad.
Hugs, Teddy and Mom Pam
Purraying for all for healing and recovery to occur soon — also that all of you are safe! ♀️♀️♀️
love, from my crew of 7 adopted/rescued kitties and myself. . .
All that rain and flooding is scary. Sending purrs to those affected. Stay safe.
We tend to be avid news followers (worldwide news) and are so saddened by the weather disasters impacting Germany and other European countries. Our prayers continue to go forth for the people, the animals, the lands all so crushed by floods and more, though recovery will be long and hard we believe.
We must all recognize our changing climate and do what we can, individually and collectively to protect and preserve and even attempt to restore or there is no future for our earth.
We’ve had a lot of flooding here in Michigan too. First we were in a drought, now we are overloaded with rain! Hoping everyone there is safe and that things dry up for you!

What’s happening in the flooded areas is terrible. We hope everything gets back to normal soon. We’re glad you’re safe.
Yes we have been sending purrayers and Power of the Paw to all the people & animals affected by the flooding. We are glad you are safe but we know of several bloggers in Belgium and The Netherlands that we are hoping are all right.
Praying you stay safe. My thoughts and prayers with all those affected. XO

We are sending purrs to you and all in your area affected by this deluge. We have some areas that are being drowned and others that are drying out over here. The weather is changing
We heard about that and it’s awful.
Please stay safe xx
Fortunately we have never experienced a flood ever. But if one thing doesn’t get you, another will, and we are in a drought. Hope your area is not affected by flooding and you are all safe.
Whoa! How terribly frightening that is. That sure is a lot of floodwater, and so damaging! Safe purrs to y’all.
The weird weather all over the planet worries us. We have been relatively normal, but will it last? We hope, but have no way of knowing.
TBT once searched for “safest places” to live in the US regarding weather, and where he was turned out ta be among the top several. So we dint move.
No place is purrfect. But hurricanes generally slip past us, deflected by the Carolinas, we’ve had a few very minor tornados but they are quick to die and small, we had an very minor earthquake once but it lasted like 5 seconds and caused no damage here.
The rainfall is moderate (and reasonably steady each month). Decades ago, the lawn used to crack open from dryness but that hasn’t happened since. The snow is less the past decade.
There are some safer places, but I don’t like the politics there. So we stay here.
We sure hope this awful flooding dries up so peeps can get things back in some kind of order again .
Here in the west we have a lot of wild fires due to the extreme heat and dry conditions.
I hope you and your family are staying safe! The bad wheather hasn’t reached Portugal this time and I do hope it won’t reach us. But a month ago we had a tempest in one of the Portuguese islands and two people were killed. Climate change is a reality and unfortunately we are witnessing it’s consequences. Stay safe!
Wow, that is scary. I hope all that water is on its way out. Stay safe!
That’s scary! I know in the US (especially here, where the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers meet), a lot of experts discuss that the build-up of levies and other flood control practices just makes it worse for the parts of the river that aren’t protected – and the small tributaries. In the past five years, the small tributaries have majorly flooded – turning what isn’t a flood plain into one. Water is super unforgiving. We pray that everyone over there gets the help they need.
Nature can be so scary. I hope all of you are safe, and that the water goes down and stays down. Take care! Love, Dori
Too much water is as bad as too much heat (and fires) its too bad we have wrecked the weather systems! Thanks so much for coming to my birthday pawty at Ann and June’s Blog!
