Our Secret Paws is…

We received our Secret Paws package last week already, but Claire didn’t let us open it at once, because she wanted to have time to take photos. Pfffft ! It’s the worst excuse we’ve ever heard !

This weekend, finally, we were allowed to open our presents : our Secret Paws are Angel Smokey and Miss Butterfly, as well as their human Tessie, from Miami, Florida, USA !

We were spoiled, and Claire also : we received the biggest bag of bonito flakes we’ve ever seen, fantastic toys, and even a Neko Fly !

Claire received an adorable scarf, and a small candle in the shape of a present.

But the best of the best are our mats : the red one belongs normally to Pixie, and the green one to Zorro, but we tried both. They have a small pouch filled with catnip which is hung on a big button, it’s irresistible ! And they are so pretty : we love them !

First signs of Christmas

The weather was foul this weekend : stormy winds with gusts up to 90 kph (55 mph), snowdrifts formations because of the blown snow, then rain. We were very happy to have a litter box inside !

It was a weather for snuggling together.


Claire also took advantage of it to do some decluttering, and Momo enjoyed counting the cars that sticked into the snowdrift which had just formed front at our home. Fortunately, nothing serious and no damages, all the vehicles were able to leave after some efforts, a good shovel swing, and a little of mutual aid.

Our first greeting cards begin to arrive, by post and by email, and our garland of cards fills up little by little. We’ll show you when there are more. We also know that we received two packages from Miami, and we are sure that they come from our Secret Paw, but Claire didn’t let us open them at the moment ! She said that we had to wait a little. Hey, they’re our presents all the same, why can’t we open them at once ?!?

Countdown to Christmas

A few days ago, Claire invited her sister-in-law to make with her two Advent wreaths (one for her, one for us).

I can tell you that we would have thought we were in a henhouse : how much can these two humans cackle ! Zorro and I even had to take refuge upstairs to be able to continue our nap quietly !

That’s what Claire made with a slice of birch, branches of fir tree, some natural elements, and candles :
