Long weekend

Yesterday, it was Federal Day of Thanksgiving, Repentance and Prayer. Monday is holiday too in the part of Switzerland where we live, and Claire and Momo took advantage of it to sort out in the house.

They reviewed every room high and low to pursue the out-of-service, cumbersome or useless objects. They filled two garbage bags, and objects in good condition will be given to their friends : teapot, small table, scarf, … First come, first served !

We helped them to inspect the last hidden recesses of the attic to be sure that they had forgotten nothing.

They then went to harvest pumpkins in the garden. Claire loves pumpkin soup, but if you have other recipes, she’s interested !

Cattoos !

Today, it’s Meow Like A Pirate Day : and what would be a pirate without tattoos ?

Cattoos ! is a book of temporary cat tattoos illustrated by Megan Lynn Kott. The watercolor cats are full of cattitude. These tattoos are a great way to tell the world in a non-permanent way that you’re a cat lover. Each tattoo has its own message to express your feelings like « Meow », « Caturday ! », or « High four ! ». The book includes over 40 tattoos.

Each page of the book is detachable. You always find one paper page with several designs, and then the same page with cattoos.

How to apply a tattoo on your human ?

Clean and dry the skin
Cut out the chosen design and remove the transparent film
Apply tattoo facedown ; it may sound obvious, but we’ll tell you anyway : apply adhesive-side to skin
Wet the back of the tattoo, apply firmly, wait for 30-40 seconds, and if everything went well, you’re done !
Allow the tattoo to dry (more detailed informations are available in the book)

Cattoos are made for lasting a few days, but you can remove them sooner with oily stuff.
