Oh ! There is a spot here…

It looks like a paw… It’s not mine, it’s too big.

I wonder to whom it can be…

Me too.

She forgot our blogoversary !
It’s our 4th blogoversary today, and for the first time, our human completely forgot it !

Fortunately, our pal Timmy and his fantastic Dad Pete sent us a lovely card.

This oversight will not remain without consequences : we’re just looking for the best idea for that Claire can remember it next year …
Earth Day

PIXIE : Zorro, what are you doing in our kitchen garden?
ZORRO : I’m pooping…
PIXIE : ! ? !
ZORRO : I celebrate Earth Day (as every morning, moreover) : you know, recycling, composting, organic eating, all these things… It’s as well for it that I hunt birds and mice : no packaging, no waste !

Some humans over-exploit and manhandle our planet, and other, more and more numerous, try at best to protect it.
What already does Claire for the Earth ?
- she buys local
- she limits packagings
- she eats seasonal produce
- she eats few red meat (0-1x a week), poultry (3-5x a week), and few fish (0-1x a week)
- she sorts out her waste and recycles all which is recyclable : glass, PET, paper, cardboard, iron, aluminum, wood…
- she composts plant waste
- she uses bags, bottles, … reusable several times
- she replaced the former bulbs by LED or economic bulbs
- she has devices of energy category A+ or A++ and she replaces them after 10 years
- she switches off completely the unused electric devices
- she washes the laundry in the most low-temperature possible
- she warms the rooms up to 19 C only
- she uses the staircase if there are only two or three floors to go up
- she does not buy new clothes every month
- she closes the faucet while she soaps or while she brushes his teeth
If everybody lived like Claire, would be needed all the same 2,2 planets to live. She could make an effort in the field of transport, by going from time to time to work by bike (16 km) instead of taking the car ; it would also be necessary to think of making an outside insulation of the house (1955) to improve its energy efficiency (but that’s expensive !).

Big actions are spectacular, but we are convinced that small individual actions are much more effective on the long term. You will find several ideas on WWF website or on earthday.org.
