Claire did DIY well yesterday : as every year, she made herself our Advent wreath (strictly speaking, it is not a wreath, it’s rather a line). In these moments, it’s better not to be on her path !
She bought candles, florist’s foam, ribbon, and balls ; she got back and washed four empty cans of cat ood to make jars, and she cut some extremities of the branches of various shrubs of the garden. Talking about it, she chose the favorite branch of a pal on the fir tree : we have to be the only ones to have an Advent wreath perfumed with tomcat pee !
Claire covered a basket cover with aluminium foil and placed jars inside. Jars were furnished foam wet in which Claire hammered candles and small branches. She then fixed knots and balls with wire. And here is the result :
We were not forgotten : we received an Advent calendar filled with treats : can’t wait for December 1st !

15 tips to arrive serenely at Christmas
We take advantage of last soft and sunny days up before the arrival of the first colds, but don’t be fooled : in a little more than a month, it’s Christmas !
Your humans are often completely put under stress by this period of the year, then here is 15 advice to be passed on to them so that your naps can continue to be done peacefully. Are you ready ?
One month before :
- Verify that you have some gift wrap, ribbon, and adhesive tape.
- Establish a list of the people to whom you want to send your wishes.
- Decide who will receive an e-mail, and who will receive a traditional card.
- Establish a list of gifts.
- Review the decorations which you already have and decide in which place to put them.
- Make a list of the lacking decorations and which it will be necessary to buy.
- Inquire about the shipping deadlines for letters and packages, especially if you send abroad.
- Prepare your greeting cards, stamps, and packages to send.
- If you receive for Christmas, establish the list of the guests and choose the menu.
- Buy little by little ingredients for your biscuits and your meals.
- Choose your table decoration, the tablecloth, the dishes, and make the list of what misses you.
- Decorate your house and enter the atmosphere of Christmas !
One week before :
- End the purchases of the last presents.
- If you use a natural Christmas tree, it’s time to buy it and to decorate it.
- Don’t forget the cat treats !

Granpa is a crazy cat daddy
Today, it’s Caturday ! We didn’t publish yesterday, because we celebrated Christmas with Grandpa ; he laughs friendly at Claire and at the small touch of madness of all the members of the Cat Blogosphere but in fact he’s also crazy as her. He doesn’t have cats anymore since he’s retired because he likes very much travelling, and he didn’t find very nice for them to send them too often in pet boarding.
The first present which it brought out of his bag filled with attractive packages was not either for Claire, or for Momo : it was for us ! Look at the magnificent revolutionary place mat he found for us !
- Chat Guevara : « chat » means cat and is put instead of « Che”
- Peuple chat, mettons la pâtée aux chiens : literally, “cat populate, let’s give dogs dog food » , but it’s an expression that means “Cat populate, let’s kick some dogs ass !”
- Viva las croquettas : « croquettes » are kibbles : « Long live kibbles !”
And today, it was the first day of snow !
I had never seen it before, but Zorro was not very impressed…
