A commentathon for Etoile

This post is also available in : French German Italian

February 17 is my 7th Gotcha Day, and I am as happy as ever to have found a wonderful home.

Like every year, I invite you to take part in my commentathon to help buddies who don’t have this chance and are waiting in a shelter.

This time, however, it’s a little different : let me introduce you to Etoile (“Star” in French).

Etoile recently arrived at the shelter that we support with the mucous membranes burned following contact with a corrosive product. She was treated and spayed as soon as she arrived, but that’s not enough.

Etoile, SPA du Haut-Léman
Used with permission of SPA Haut-Léman

After a first treatment and according to the opinion of an ophthalmologist, it’s sure that Etoile will never be able to see again : the decision was therefore made to remove his eyes which are a continuous source of infection and pain. This intervention will finally allow her to flourish and find a forever home. I know she’s not a cat, but isn’t she cute ?

The surgery is expensive, necessary and urgent. I have therefore decided that for every comment left on this article until Friday, February 21st noon (Swiss time), I’ll give 1 CHF to the Haut-Léman shelter for Etoile’s surgery.

I’m counting on you to help me !

    Happy Gotcha Day, Pixie.
Poor Etoile. I hope she is feeling better soon and finds a wonderful home just like you did. It’s very thoughtful of you to use your Gotcha Day celebration as a commentathon for her surgery fund.

Happy Gotcha Zorro………..what a lovely idea to make a commentathon for poor little Etoile. What a horrible situation poor little thing has been through – losing her sight is devastating but we will pray that someone will adopt her and give her some security and safety and most of all LOVE…………
