Since Saturday, we suffered heavy rain and violent winds. It so much blew hard that we found our pine in this position on Sunday morning :
We had moved it in November, and we had put it a tutor, but the tutor snapped in two under the assaults of the wind.
Fortunately, we were able to put it a new tutor on Monday, bigger, and it should get well back on its feet.
And us ? With such a weather, we stayed inside !
Yesterday, it was Federal Day of Thanksgiving, Repentance and Prayer. Monday is holiday too in the part of Switzerland where we live, and Claire and Momo took advantage of it to sort out in the house.
They reviewed every room high and low to pursue the out-of-service, cumbersome or useless objects. They filled two garbage bags, and objects in good condition will be given to their friends : teapot, small table, scarf, … First come, first served !
We helped them to inspect the last hidden recesses of the attic to be sure that they had forgotten nothing.
They then went to harvest pumpkins in the garden. Claire loves pumpkin soup, but if you have other recipes, she’s interested !
PIXIE : Snif… Snif… Strange… I don’t manage to identify this smell…
ZORRO : Snif… Snif… No doubt : it smells like bee fart !
