Bye bye 2021 !

January
Cards and gifts continue to arrive, as a Christmas extension, for our greatest pleasure..

Zorro is celebrating his 8th Gotcha Day with a commentathon, and your many comments allow us once again to support our favorite shelter.

March
Pixie is turning 7. The sports coach of our humans becomes a father, and we take the opportunity to give him some useful advice.

April
It’s spring and the weather is beautiful for Easter. We’re celebrating our 9th blogoversary.

May
Pixie celebrates her 7th Gotcha Day.

June
At the end of the month, our friend Sawyer gives us a great fright by disappearing while he’s an indoor cat under medical treatment, but fortunately, miracles do exist : he’s found safe and sound after 24 days.

July
Switzerland is affected by major floods.

August
Claire and Momo are enjoying a well-deserved holiday. Zorro is turning 9.

September – October
The weather is beautiful and suitable for walks and outings in the garden. Incidentally, we learn that major work is planned for the spring, and the first signs appear.

November
Our favourite time of the year is coming – it’s already the countdown to Christmas !
We hope our friends have received our package…

December
Snow appears before Christmas. We refused to mention it before, but COVID and its suite of health measures punctuated the year, and limited social life and leisure for our humans again. When is this gonna stop ?

Claire’s work is exciting and she likes it very much, but we have noticed for more than a year that we now have less time to visit you and comment on your blogs : we do the best we can, and thank you for your understanding.

Thank you very much for all the great cards we’ve received, either by mail or electronically, we’ll show them to you next year as they continue to arrive.

We wish you a happy New Year’s Eve and wish you all the best in 2022.

Bye bye 2020 !

January
The weather is beautiful throughout the month of January. However, our good mood is somewhat clouded by the news of the terrible fires that ravage Australia at the same time.

February
The month begins at top speed for Claire: she takes over the school management ad interim at the beginning of the month following the principal’s announced departure.
Zorro is celebrating his 7th Gotcha Day, and his commentathon for Etoile is a success.

March
The coronavirus, COVID-19, surges like a wave from China and changes the entire planet. On Friday the 13th of March, all schools in the canton of Vaud close. Another life begins for thousands of people in Switzerland: lockdown (getting out as little as possible), homeschooling, prohibition of meeting more than 5 people in public space, strict respect of social distances. In a way, our humans turn into cats, and adopt our rhythms when it comes to napping.
Pixie is turning 6.

April
It’s spring and the weather is beautiful for Easter.
We’re celebrating our 8th blogoversary.

May
Pixie celebrates her 6th Gotcha Day.
Students go back to school after 2 months at home.

June
Summer is finally coming, and the end of the school year is just about normal.

July
On 1st of July, Claire is officially appointed principal of the school.
Then it’s time for the holidays, and they’re more than welcome.

August
At the end of the month, it’s back to school, masked for adults.
Zorro is turning 8.

September
All these COVID-happenings have led to big life changes for Claire and Momo: as we told you, Claire is now the school’s principal, and Momo, meanwhile, discovered during confinement that the life as househusband suited him well.

October
We pass without transition from summer to winter before returning to a fall weather almost normal.
The pandemic is back in force, and the cycle of health closures and restrictions is starting again.

November
The “Laundry” operation ends after 15 years waiting.
By the time we say “phew”, we’re already preparing for Christmas.

December
We’re spoiled by Lola and Lexy for Secret Paws. Christmas and New Year are celebrated in small committee, COVID requires.

We wish you health for 2021 and hope that the COVID vaccine will lead to a more joyful and carefree life in a few months.
